Description
Dekorative, symbolistisch anmutende Darstellung, die ihren Reiz besonders aus dem Zusammenspiel von fein lasierender Malerei und prächtiger, an sakrale Kunst erinnernde Rahmung bezieht. Friedrich Stahl, ein Schüler von Löfftz und Diez in München, orientierte sich nach impressionistischen Anfängen seit seinem Aufenthalt in Florenz (1904-13) am Vorbild der italienischen Frührenaissance. Auch in seinen späteren Jahren blieb die italienische Kunst seine wichigste Inspiration. Sehr gut erhalten.
