In his works Miotte creates a picture space which remains open, unlimited but final. Through the enormous momentum of his spatula sweeping across the canvas the works give the impression of “exploding grenades”, as his friend the poet Fernando Arrabal remarks. Miotte thus creates a universal language over and beyond national boundaries and the cultural conflicts of our linked global world.

Miotte schafft in seinen Werken einen Bildraum, der nach allen Seiten hin offen bleibt, unbegrenzt aber endlich. Durch den enormen Elan der Spachtelschwünge, die die Bilderoberfläche durchziehen, gleichen seine Bilder, wie sein Freund der Dichter Fernando Arrabal sagt, “dem Bersten einer Granate”. Miotte schafft so eine Explosion der Formen in einer universellen Sprache, die, über die nationalen Grenzen hinaus, die kulturellen Konflikte unserer vernetzten Welt überwindet. Von sehr guter Erhaltung.
