From the series “Les Saltimbanques”, executed in the studio of Delâtre in Paris in 1904/05. Picasso, who regularly attended the performances of the circus “Médrano”, was fascinated by the world of jugglers and circus artists.

Aus der 1904/1905 im Atelier von Delâtre in Paris entstandenen Folge “Les Saltimbanques”, zu der sich Picasso als Stammgast des Circus “Médrano” von der Welt der Gaukler und Artisten inspirieren ließ. Eines aus einer unsignierten und unnummerierten Auflage von 250 Exemplaren, herausgegeben von dem Verleger Ambroise Vollard im Jahr 1913. Gut zeichnender, insgesamt frischer Druck. Im Randbereich mit ganz wenigen, hellen Fleckchen und mit kaum merklichem Lichtrand.
