Freudweiler hielt sich von 1818 bis 1821 zu Studienzwecken in Rom auf. Dort entstand auch der Kopf, eine Studie nach einem lebenden Modell. Im Passepartoutausschnitt etwas gebräunt. An den Ecken auf die Unterlage aufgelegt. In altersgemäß gutem Zustand.
