Super-8-film in metal box, diameter c. 19 cm, 10 black and white photographs, stamped on the reverse “Beuys: Celtic + ——–“, each c. 40 : 50.5 cm, and bottle with gelatine and beeswax in linen coffer c. 42 : 53 : 12 cm, stamped with the brown cross on the inside. (1971). From an edition of 100 multiples numbered on a label underneath the photographs as well as on the metal box. Signed on the label.

Der Film und die Fotos dokumentieren die Celtic-Aktion in den Zivilschutz-Lagerräumen beim Stadium St. Jakob, Basel, am 5. Februar 1971. Hier, wie auch schon bei der ursprünglichen Fassung der Aktion, die kurz zuvor bei den Edinburgher Festspielen aufgeführt worden war, arbeitete Beuys mit dem dänischen Fluxus-Komponisten Henning Christiansen zusammen. Im Zentrum der Performance steht eine rituelle Fußwaschung an sieben Personen, die sich auf die Reinigung des gesamten sozialen Feldes bezieht. Auf Wunsch erhält der Käufer dieses Multiples vom Einlieferer eine DVD-Kopie des Films. – In einwandfreier Erhaltung.
