“Die heilige Brücke bei Nikko”.
Description
Die prachtvolle, in einen bergigen Nationalpark mit Seen und Wasserfällen gebettete Tempelanlage von Nikko liegt zwei Zugstunden nördlich von Tokyo, ihre rot lackierte Brücke überspannt den Daiya-gawa in einer Länge von 27 Metern. Das Bild entstand auf einer Weltreise, die Wuttke 1897-1899 unternahm, im Anschluss malte er im Auftrag Kaiser Wilhelms I. eine japanische Landschaft für den Silbersaal des Berliner Schlosses. – Sehr gut erhalten.
