Description
Blumenstücke zählen zu den begehrtesten Sujets des Künstlers, der seine malerische Laufbahn, von Franz von Lenbach ermutigt, begann. Hier arrangiert er mit pastosem Pinsel und lockerem, spontanem Duktus rote, rosafarbene und weiße Teerosen in dichter Fülle, unterbrochen nur durch das dunkel aufleuchtende, komplementäre Grün einzelner Blätter. Den Hintergrund der leichten, anmutigen Komposition bildet ein lichter Blauton, das Fundament bildet eine angedeutete Tischdecke in Braun. – Von sehr schöner Erhaltung.
