Door Knob Grimace I and Door Handle I (Left Handed). Bronze with a dark patina with copper coloured highlights. (1954) and (1958). Height 9 cm (door knob), width 18.5 cm (door handle). From editions of 12 and 26. With the incised signature at the upper part of the shaft and below the handle.

Außer den beiden in der St. Michaelskirche in Frankfurt installierten Exemplaren der Fratze I gibt es weitere ca. 10 Güsse im Privatbesitz, davon mehrere Nachlassgüsse. Bei der Türklinke I fehlt in Abwandlung des bei Schilling abgebildeten Exemplars die Schneckenform an der Daumenseite des Griffs. Der Türknauf mit Vierkanteisen für den Drehmechanismus. – Die Deckelplatte der Klinke mit Kratzspuren. Insgesamt mit leichten Gebrauchspuren, sonst schön.
