Das Motiv wurde 1868 in der Zeitschrift “Le Tour du Monde” als Illustration zu einem Reisebericht von Doré und dem Baron Davillier über Toledo veröffentlicht. Fournier stach den Holzstich für die Zeitschrift nach einer Zeichnung der Künstlers. In dieser Ölarbeit werden die Berge und Wolken im Hintergrund der Zeichnung durch einen neutralen Himmel ersetzt. Winzige Holzabsplitterung am linken Rand. Sehr wenige Retuschen, sonst gut.
