Um 1780 übersiedelte Constantin d’Aix für sechs Jahre nach Rom. Schon zu dieser Zeit entstanden seine ersten großangelegten Landschaften, für deren Inszenierungen in dramatischer Hell- Dunkelgrisaille Constantin D’Aix später berühmt werden sollte. – Schwach braunfleckig; teils kleinere Bereibungen der Maloberfläche und mit einer längs verlaufenden Stauchfalte in der linken Blatthälfte, sonst gut erhalten.
