Description
Prachtvolle, großangelegte Zeichnung von beeindruckend lockerer Handschrift. Viele französische Künstler des ausgehenden 18. Jahrhunderts verbrachten ihre Studienzeit in Italien. Die dort entdeckten Landschaftseindrücke beeinflussten ihre Bildkompositionen oft auch noch nach der Rückkehr in die Heimat. Die motivische Nähe zur Bucht von Neapel, dürfte hier daher auf direkte italienische Reiseerlebnisse zurückgehen. – Insgesamt altersbedingte Gebrauchspuren; mittig mit Bugfalte.
