Description
Virtuos und mit nahezu lautmalerischer Kraft schildert Nicolle die tosenden Wassermengen der wohl berühmtesten Kaskaden der italienischen Kunstgeschichte. Wie viele der Miniauren des Künstlers ganz auf alte Sammelunterlage montiert, dort mit der Zierrahmung in Gold und Tuschfeder und der hs.? Ortsangabe “Tivoli” bezeichnet. – Die Farben schwach verblasst, sonst gut erhalten.
