Unterstützt vom preußischen Hof, unternahm Hildebrandt mehrere Weltreisen, von denen er eine Vielzahl von Aquarellen mit nach Hause brachte. Besonders die Lichtführung dieser Blätter wurde von seinen Sammlern, darunter auch Zar Nikolaus I, hoch geschätzt. – Ganzflächig auf die Unterlage montiert, sonst sehr gut erhalten.
