Description
Morgenstern stammt aus der zweiten einer fünf Generationen umspannenden Künstlerfamilie. Wichtigster Einfluss für seine spätere Laufbahn war der Schweizer Architekturmaler Johann Vögelin, der ihn so sehr für das Genre begeisterte, dass er bald überwiegend gotische Kircheninterieurs malte. – Verso umlaufend an den Rändern auf graues Bütten geklebt. Vereinzelte kleine Handhabungsspuren, sonst sehr gut erhalten.
