Description
Liebliche sommerliche Landschaft, die den Betrachter schon durch ihre Größe dazu einlädt, mit dem Blick darin herumzustreifen. Raffiniert verknüpft der Maler die beiden Bildhälften durch die Staffage an den äußeren Rändern: Rechts beschirmt der Ziegenhirt das Auge vor der Sonne und späht zu dem Grüppchen links, einem stehenden Mann, einer reitenden Frau und drei Eseln.
