Description
Das Blatt diente als Vorzeichnung für das undatierte Gemälde im Schloss Caserta. Es entstand während Hackerts zweiter Sizilienreise und gehört zur Serie der Seehäfen des Königreiches, die Ferdinand IV. 1787 bei Hackert in Auftrag gegeben hatte und für die der Künstler 1788 die apulische Küste und 1790 Sizilien bereist hatte. – Aufgrund von Randmängeln vollständig aufgezogen. Vereinzelt leicht braunfleckig, ansonsten gut erhalten.
