Description
Brunner studierte an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Wien unter anderem bei Rudolf Jettmar. Geprägt von zahlreichen Italienaufenthalten widmet er sich als Kirchenmaler in erster Linie christlichen Motiven. In der Darstellung des Evangelisten Johannes ergänzt er die klassischen Attribute Adler und Schriftrolle im Weltkriegsjahr 1944 mit Motiven aus dessen Schrift der Apokalypse, den apokalyptischen Reitern, Blitzen und einstürzenden Häusern.
