Description
Auf der Dresdner Akademieausstellung 1811 war das Original von Caroline Bardua ausgestellt, zu dem der anonyme Berichterstatter im “Journal des Luxus und der Moden” (Weimar 1811, S. 379) bemerkte: Die “Künstlerin hat eine interessante Kindergruppe, (…) die wahr und kräftig gezeichnet, ähnlich und im naiven kindlichen Charakter so dargestellt sind, dass das Ganze bei etwas mehr Zartheit und Farbenschmelz ein treffliches Bild seyn würde.” Dargestellt sind die Kinder von Gerhard von Kügelgen und seiner Frau Helene Marie Zoege von Manteuffel, von links nach rechts: Adelheid (1808-1874, Wilhelm (1802-1867) und Gerhard (1806-1884).
