Description
Bei dem Jungen mit Ball ist nicht bekannt, wer er war. Als das Werk um 1920/25 entsteht, lebt Bouzianis mit seiner Familie in Eichenau bei München. Vielleicht hielt Bouzianis hier seinen Sohn fest. Alte Fotos des Künstlers mit seinem Sohn Georg lassen eine Ählichkeit erkennen.
Ab 1919 finden die ersten Ausstellungen bei Ritthaler und Thannhauser statt und ab 1925 folgen weitere in der Galerie Barchfeld in Leipzig. Bouzianis Beliebtheit und Anerkennung steigt zunehmend, was auch zu den ersten Museumsankäufen in Leipzig und Chemnitz führt. Das Motiv einer Person mit Pflanze, wohl einer Agave, zeigt der Maler öfters.
