Very fine, strong impression with high contrast, created in the artist’s earlier years in Amsterdam. Printed before the reduction of the plate and with the signature and date in the lower margin. Classified “R +” by Nowell-Usticke and labelled “A scarce plate, seldom found in fine condition”. Cut just inside the plate edge. – With smoothed, faintly visible creases in the upper right corner on the reverse. With an inconspicuous restoration on the left edge. Faint, isolated foxmarks, otherwise in very good condition. Rarely found in such a fine impression!
