The Pancake Woman

Details

Bartsch 124; White/Boon 124 II (from III); Hinterding/Rutgers (The New Hollstein) 144 II (from VII).

Description

Excellent, even impression of this rare lifetime print. With the bold lines between the woman’s hands and above the pan. The incorrect etching below the apple, on the upper right edge of the basket, is clearly visible, which is later corrected by cross-hatching. Top and right with a fine margin around the edge of the plate, left and bottom cut just within this. – The upper right corner reattached, with traces of former mounting on the reverse, otherwise in good condition. Very rare in this early printing state.
