With an old label of the painter’s supply merchant “J. Günther, Frankfurt a. M.” on the reverse, stamped “Malkarton” and with a hand-written inscription. Olényi von Husen 155 (there under 1917). Provenance: Stahl, Hamburg 22.4.2005, lot 97; private ownership, Bavaria, by descent to the present owner.
